Altman’s post said, “We’d love to show you what Sora can do. Reply with captions for the videos you want to see and we’ll start making them!” After the message, X user sent several prompts. Among them was this user who wanted: “A street-level tour through a futuristic city that is in harmony with nature and also cypherpunk/high-tech. The city should be clean, with advanced futuristic trams, beautiful fountains, giant holograms everywhere and robots everywhere. Anna video to be a human tour guide from the future showing a group of extraterrestrial aliens the coolest and most brilliant city humans can build.” Sora then created a high-quality 10-second video that Altman shared.

Prompted by CRED CEO Kunal Shah, Altman wanted to create a “Cycling Race to the Sea with different animals as athletes riding bikes with a drone camera view.” The tool created a funny video of ocean animals cycling. Another user prompt asked for a “Homemade Gnocchi Guided Cooking Session hosted by Grandma Social Media Influencer, set in a rustic Tuscan country kitchen with cinematic lighting.” The tool takes exceptional details and creates the video in the best possible way.

Altman also asked users to increase the difficulty level, saying, “Don’t hold back the details or the difficulty!”

In total, Altman shared about 7-8 great videos showcasing the capabilities of OpenAI’s new video tool.
